This year, eight local entrepreneurs will each receive nearly $3,800 through the 1921 Awards. This increased funding, a result of the partnership with 1921 Sankofa, will enable recipients to further invest in their ventures. Ashli Sims, Managing Director of Build in Tulsa, emphasized that the program extends beyond financial support, offering resources such as business coaching and accounting courses to foster sustainable growth.
