W.E. Build gave me space—not just to work, but to think, to breathe, to dream even bigger than before. It forced me to slow down and ask hard questions about what growth truly looks like.
When I first stepped into W.E. Build, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. I knew I had built something special with Vie Beauty—rooted in science, artistry, and a deep commitment to hydration, barrier support, and skin health. But I also knew there was more to learn, more to refine, and bigger steps to take. I wanted to sharpen my leadership, scale with intention, and create something lasting.
What I didn’t expect was just how much Tulsa, and this program, would change me.
W.E. Build gave me space—not just to work, but to think, to breathe, to dream even bigger than before. It forced me to slow down and ask hard questions about what growth truly looks like. I explored B2B opportunities, redefined how Vie Beauty could expand into new markets, and reimagined packaging and product extensions beyond 30ROSES. I learned to navigate the complexities of scaling a beauty brand with a sharper, more strategic approach.
But it wasn’t just about business. It was about becoming a better leader, a stronger founder, and, most importantly, a more intentional version of myself.
I learned the power of prioritizing wellness—not just as a buzzword, but as a necessary foundation for success. W.E. Build introduced me to wellness days, and for the first time, I gave myself permission to pause (and I actually did). In those moments, I found clarity. I saw new possibilities for growth and expansion. I realized that taking care of Jasmine first meant showing up stronger for my loved ones, myself, and Vie Beauty.
And then, there was the community.
I didn’t just meet other founders; I met soundboards, mentors, and lifelong friends—women who pushed me to win. I gained an advisor who continues to guide me, refining my strategy and helping me navigate entrepreneurship with confidence. The support was unmatched, and for the first time in a long time, I didn’t feel like I had to figure everything out alone.
Being in Tulsa, building on Black Wall Street, carried a weight I hadn’t fully grasped until I was there. Learning about its history and resilience gave new meaning to my journey as a Black woman in business. It was a reminder that what I’m building isn’t just about products—it’s about legacy.
I laughed, I cried, I did the hard things, I pitched in front of crowds, and I grew. I stepped into my power as a public speaker—thank you, Carlisha!—refined my leadership, and tapped into resources I still use today. The books, guides, and strategies weren’t just lessons for the moment but tools for the future.
W.E. Build wasn’t just about scaling my business. It was about refining my vision, strengthening my confidence, and becoming the kind of leader who can take Vie Beauty to the next level. It gave me the space to not only build a brand but to build myself.
And that is the kind of experience I will carry with me forever as we continue to Build in Tulsa and beyond.
